Lunica Consulting’s history is short, but is built on a substantial basis. The company’s partners, Marcos Avó and Ricardo Altmann, founded Lunica in 2004 after some time already working together.

Marcos and Ricardo have different academic backgrounds – business management and industrial engineering, respectively – and different competencies that complement each other’s. The experience of working together for long time facilitates communication and assures the quality of the final product. The partners’ interest in academic knowledge helps putting in practice methodological issues. Both are professors at FIA/USP, Mauá Institute of Technology  and Fundação Vanzolini.

Analysts help in the execution of the projects and, case by case, professionals with a higher level of specialization may compose the team.

Our projects have involved a wide range of industries, including: infrastructure, transportation, financial services, tourism, energy, naval, automotive and media/internet.

The scope of the projects has been mainly strategy analysis and formulation, feasibility studies, project evaluation, economic evaluation of technology and risk management. Decision Analysis has been a frequent and central reference for the projects’ development, working as a strong support for the application of different approaches and methodologies like industry analysis, scenario planning and real options.

Our clients include so far big companies interested in entering new businesses, engineering companies, new technological ventures, some traditional Brazilian family business, small ventures with high growing perspectives and start ups.
